Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has rejected Kadarius Toney’s suggestions that the team filed incorrect or misleading injury reports regarding the wide receiver.
The Chiefs advanced to their fourth Super Bowl in five years on Sunday, overcoming the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 in the AFC Championship game as Steve Spagnuolo’s defense dominated Lamar Jackson and company.
Jackson finished 20-of-37 and the Ravens committed three turnovers throughout an error-strewn display, while the ever-reliable Patrick Mahomes went 30-of-39 for 241 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce.

Kansas City’s victory came in the absence of Toney, who has not played since Week 15 and was ruled out of Sunday’s game due to injuries and personal reasons.
Toney’s partner gave birth to the couple’s first child on Saturday, but the third-year wide receiver still seemed less than impressed with the team’s failure to use him on Sunday.

In a profanity-filled Instagram Live post, Toney said he’s “not hurt” and called on someone to “tell ’em what’s really going on”.
Asked about the post on Monday, Reid insisted the team had not misled the league when declaring Toney had hip and ankle injuries on their reports.
“He’s been on the injury report, [so] that part is not made up by any means,” Reid said. “But he’s been working through some things – he’ll be back out there.”
Reid then said Toney will be with the Chiefs when they reconvene for their first practice ahead of Super Bowl LVIII – where they will face the San Francisco 49ers – on Thursday.
